About Physical Therapy sessions
Appointment Calendar
- After our therapists have completed their initial evaluation, and appointments have been
scheduled for your treatment our PT Receptionist will provide you with a calendar which
displays all of your upcoming PT appointments. If Dr. Egert is treating you, M.D. appointments
will also appear on the calendar.
Appointments [link to appts page]
- Physical Therapy sessions typically require 60 minutes of your time. Please plan your schedule
accordingly. We make every possible effort to be on time, so we ask you to be prompt for your
appointments. Our therapists may not be able to see you if you are late.
Aquatic Therapy patients
- Pool Attire Bathing suits are preferred. Shorts and dark t-shirts are acceptable.
- We ask that you try to be certain all detergents are thoroughly rinsed from your clothing to
prevent bubble bath affect in pool.
- Changing Rooms with showers and individual lockers are available for the use of our aquatic
therapy patients. We ask that patients shower prior to entering the pool.
Gym or Manual Therapy patients
- Patients receiving treatment in our gym should wear loose, comfortable clothing. Depending
upon the body part being treated, you may be provided with a gown to wear.
We love children, but...
- A Physical Therapy appointment is a time for you to heal your body and will require your full
attention.
- In consideration of yourself and other patients
please do not bring children to therapy appointments. We cannot supervise them and the
gym is not an appropriate or safe place for children.
Patient Care Conferences
- Our rehabilitation team of therapists, physician, nurse, and support staff meet routinely, which
provides us with the opportunity to update each other on patients currently under our care. The
therapists also meet daily on an informal basis and prepare a written note for your patient record.
Physician follow up visits
- Our therapists routinely provide your doctor with reports during the time you are receiving
treatment at our facility. If you notify us 3-5 days in advance of your appointment, this will
allow your therapist time to have the report dictated, transcribed, and sent to your physician.
Please inform both our therapist and our PT receptionist of the date and time of your follow up
physician visit.
